Irondale Brewing

Partial mash + 30 minute boil = a fast brew day.

I'm a bit late getting started on this one so it'll actually be more of a New Year's Ale by the time it's ready, but this is a brew day I've been looking forward to for a while.

The condensation on the range hood in the brewing space is the one major issue with the space that I'd like to resolve, but before replacing the range hood with a condensation hood, I wanted to do a test batch in the kitchen in the house to see if the behavior was similar.

I was a day late brewing for the American Homebrewers Association Learn to Homebrew Day this year, but better late than never!

I'll co-opt a David Foster Wallace book title and file this one under "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again" but something compelled me to try a double brew day.

From first breaking ground on the new garage in 2020 to finishing out the dedicated brewing space as my wife and I had time, the day finally arrived!
